NEAT

Armagnac is traditionally drunk neat as an aperitif or after-dinner liqueur. The addition of a slight dash of water will develop the expression of more fruity aromas.

Glass: Tulip-shaped. This shape will help in capturing the richness of the armagnac rather than the alcohol.

JANNEAU
OLD FASHIONED

The Old Fashioned cocktail is said to have been invented in 1884 by a retired American officer. A classic, known to sublimate old armagnacs.

Armagnac: Janneau XO or 12 years

Ingredients:
50 mL Janneau
1 cube of brown sugar
3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Orange zest for decoration

Mix 5cL Janneau XO or 12 years, 1 cube of brown sugar, 3 dashes of bitter on ice and 3 ice cubes. Mix.

BLACK
ANGEL

A hot and luscious cocktail in which armagnac Janneau is sublimated by toasted notes.

Armagnac: VS or VSOP

Ingredients:
40 mL Janneau
80 mL Espresso coffee
20 mL Cointreau
20 mL Gomme syrup

Mix all the ingredients and serve in a Martini glass. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.

JANNEAU

& Ginger

Versatile cocktail with attitude that reveals the elegance and the fruit of Janneau VS or VSOP
Armagnac: Janneau VS or VSOP

Ingredients:
30 mL Janneau
Ginger ale
Lemon

Pour 3 cL Janneau armagnac on crushed ice. Fill with ginger ale and decorate with a slice of lemon.

Royal

SIDECAR

Created in the Ritz in Paris in 1923 and popularized in the 30’s in London, this classic is definitely inspired by these great capitals.

Ingredients:
35 mL Janneau
30 mL Cointreau
15 mL lemon juice

In a mixing glass, chill 35 mL Janneau with 30 mL Cointreau and 15 mL lemon juice with ice. Filter in your nicest Champagne coupe.

ON THE
ROCKS

Adding one or two ice cubes dilutes and diminishes the degree of the armagnac. The fruity aromas are highlighted.
This way of drinking armagnac is perfect for aperitif.

REVIVER

Audacious cocktails created during the American prohibition. Delicious encounter of two French spirits.

Armagnac: Janneau VSOP

Ingredients:
30 ml Janneau VSOP
30 ml Calvados Boulard Grand Solage
15 ml sweet Vermouth
1 orange zest

Pour the armagnac, the calvados and the vermouth in a cocktail glass filled with ice. Mix and pour in a cocktail glass preferably cold. Decorate with the orange zest.
