These eaux-de-vie must come exclusively from the year of distillation described on its front label, and unlike for wines there is no “good or bad” vintage as their quality standard remains outstanding. Tasting however will vary greatly, according to the specific wine used, distilling method, cask and age.
The actual bottling date at Janneau is always printed on the back label.
Mainly produced by the continuous distillation process they are the quintessence of this precious distillate aged over the years. Janneau does not release a vintage at less than 18 years of age in cask. Each vintage expresses its very unique character leading to bottling at different alcohol strength.
